Today is Sigma Kappa Founders’ Day <3
137 years ago in Waterville, Maine, a group of five strong women created a sisterhood that will and always stand the test of time. The were the first women to to pave the way for young ladies to receive an education at Colby College. They have given me the values of personal growth, loyalty, friendship, and service. Without Mary Low Carver, Elizabeth Hoag, Ida Fuller Pierce, Frances Man Hall and Louise Helen Coburn:
I would not becoming the woman I am today.
Happy Founders’ Day, Sigma K!
